Beagle is a post-purchase survey app for Shopify. It asks shoppers "How did you hear about us?" on the Thank-you and Order-status pages and reports channel attribution to the merchant. This policy explains what data Beagle collects and how it is handled.
When a shopper answers the survey, Beagle stores:
Beagle does not collect or store customer names, email addresses, phone numbers, shipping addresses, payment details, or any other personally identifiable information. No cookies or tracking pixels are used.
Survey answers are shown only to the merchant whose store collected them, in that store's Beagle dashboard, to help the merchant understand which marketing channels drive their sales. Data is never sold, shared with third parties, or used for advertising.
Data is stored on Cloudflare's infrastructure and is scoped to the individual store. Each store can only access its own responses, authenticated through Shopify.
Beagle honours Shopify's mandatory privacy webhooks. When a store uninstalls Beagle or requests redaction (shop/redact), all of that store's survey data is permanently deleted. Because Beagle holds no customer personal data, customer redaction and data-request webhooks return nothing to disclose or delete.
